Linie Award 2014 goes to Tokyo

CHALLENGE:
Reward the Linie Award 2014 winners with an experience of a life time in Tokyo.

CREATE:
In cooperation with Fuglen Tokyo, Norwegian Icons and Arcus’ Linie Award, we organized a lifestyle event on 31 October and 1 November to reward the Linie Award 2014 winners with the opportunity to showcase their skills in a surrounding full of craftsmanship, fusion and creativity. The event featured Nordic culinary delicacies in combination with Japanese ingredients prepared by Linie Award winning Chef Christian André Pettersen, paired with beverage creations from the other Linie Award winner and mixology talent Oskar K. J. Johansson.

Chef Even Ramsvik from the Michelin-starred Ylajali Restaurant in Oslo, The Oak Door’s Chef Adam Noffsinger, Toby Cecchini, columnist of New York Times’ T Magazine and owner of Long Island Bar NY and Halvor Digernes, owner and chief mixologist of Fuglen Tokyo & Oslo, supported the event.

The venue was styled with Norwegian Icon’s furniture in the private dining room of The Oak Door at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Tokyo. The event was supported by the Norwegian Embassy and the Norwegian Seafood Council.

CONNECT:
Guests and press got to experience one of Norways greatest traditional spirits, Linie Aquavit, in a new, modern and different way with food pairings consisting of Nordic and Japanese ingredients. A culinary experience!
