Launch this years Gilde Juleakevitt in a fun new way while still be true to the norwegian christmas traditions.
A bake workshop for journalists, bloggers and special guests held by «Hele Norge Baker» winner Ida Gran-Jansen together with Arcus destiller Halvor Heuch. Together they made three different traditional christmas cakes with a modern twist. The twist was to incorporate Gilde Juleaquavit 2015 in the christmas bake. The result was gingerbread with aquavit served with blue cheese and fig marmelade, Macaroons with chocolate and aquavit cream, and chocolate aquavit balls with a caramelized nut crust. The guests got to take home the bakes in costumized christmas gift bags.
The guests had a fun and different way of being presented with this years aquavit. The guests learn how to use this traditional spirit in different ways than what they are used to. The event resulted in over 25 articles on blog sites, online food magazines and many more.
